✨Our Daily Diary in Malvern✨
Our Daily Diary - Day Eight
Today was the day of our departure. It was raining a lot and we were really sad to leave our English partners.
The trip was quite an adventure as it started to snow at some point !
This time, to go back to France, we took the shuttle. Some of us thought we were about to see fish!
We spent an amazing week in Malvern and we can't wait to see our partners again.
Our Daily Diary - Day Seven
After working for an hour on our booklet, the bus took us to British Camp to climb up the hill. It was sunny and the walk was really nice, but quite steep !
We had lunch with our partners back school.
In the afternoon, we had the opportunity to attend two different classes. Some of us went to English lessons, others to HE (home economics) and baked cupcakes!
At 3 o'clock, we worked with our partners on the Project about Street Art.
At 4 o'clock, We all gathered in the lecture theatre to listen to some really nice speeches given by Mr. Edmonds and Mrs Dinand. We were given beanies as a goodbye present !
To finish the afternoon, we played rounders in mixed teams. That was so much fun!
But We are dreading tomorrow as it is our last day in Malvern. Some tears will be shed !
Our Daily Diary - Day six
Today we went to Bristol, a city famous for its Street Art works.
We started by a guided tour of the city with Élodie and then We headed to a former police station to perform some street art ourselves. That was so much fun!
We ate in a shopping center and had time to do some shopping.
Then, We walked around the city to discover more Street Art works and about the history of Bristol. It was very interesting !
Before hitting the road, We went to a coffee house to get warm.
What an enriching Day We had!
Our Daily Diary- Day Five
After a sunny weekend spent with our English exchange partners, we met at the Chase School this morning and headed to Worcester, a city 25 minutes from Malvern.
We walked along the river Severn and split into two groups: team Dinand and team Guéry. We went to a coffee shop to get organised. We were given instructions and took time to write postcards and even enjoyed a hot chocolate !
At 11 o' clock, We all met at the Cathedral for a guided tour. We split into three groups and learnt a lot about English history and the history of Worcester as well.
We ate by the river Severn and then walked to the High street to interview people about their artistic habits.
At two o'clock, We headed back to the bus because it was already the end of the day!
What a lovely day we had!
Our Daily Diary - Day 2
We started the day in the Chase School with a great welcome speech from the School's head teacher, Mike Fieldhouse.
Our teachers explained to us the work we're going to do all week and then, Year 7 students showed us around school. We learnt a lot about how a school is organised in England.
We finished working on the project we started back in October with Our partners in France about the Impressionists.
At 11:50, we left for the Town centre and had Our lunch in a lovely park. It was sunny and warm. It almost felt like summer !
After lunch, we discovered the town and some of its history. We visited the main square, the famous Malvern spring and some pupils went to the tourist information office to find out more about Malvern.
At 2:15 we walked back to school.
At 6 p.m., we met up back At shool for Our quiz night. Mr. Edmonds organised the questions for the quiz - French general knowledge questions but asked in English. Every family brought food and drinks to share. Everyone had fun trying to do the quiz in mixed teams.
There were three winning teams. And now everyone is looking forward to spending the week-end with their host
Our Daily Diary - Day one
We left Nonancourt at 6:30 this morning and headed to Calais to take the ferry to Dover. There was a problem at the harbour and had to Wait 90 minutes before being able to go through the French and British customs.
We finally managed to get on the boat at 1:50 and arrived 90 minutes later in England.
It was a 4-hour drive to Malvern and we arrived later Than expected. But better late Than never!
